Xenomorph
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
OVERVIEW
You control the crew of the Nostromo and must help them survive their encounter the the alien. This is a recreation of Alien by Mind Games, where you control the crew and plan a strategy to survive and maybe even kill the alien. The game uses lots of sound effects to convey what is happening.
You can command the crew to move around the ship, pick up items, and use any controls (such as the airlocks). They will perform some actions automatically, such as fighting the alien if they encounter it (and the Android) with whatever weapons they have, or putting out fires if they have the fire extinguisher.
You will also get regular updates from Mother, such as the ship being damaged or a fire has started. It's a desperate situation for the crew, and only you can help them.
CONTROLS
- Select a member of the crew by clicking on their profile picture. Their "blip" will become brighter to indicate their position.
- To move a member of the crew from one location to another, you can either right-click on an adjacent room, or select an option from the Move To menu.
- The crew will automatically attack the alien with their best weapon if they encounter it.
- Crew who are not too wounded can heal themselves in the infirmary. (This is automatic)
- Any crew with a fire extinguisher will automatically try and put out any fires in their location
- Any crew with either the net or cat box will try and capture Jones automatically.
- F11 will toggle full-screen
WAYS TO WIN (or rather, not lose by too much)
- The most successful method is to kill the alien, and have as many crewmembers left alive as possible. There are two ways to do this: coax it into the airlock and then open the airlock, or just kill it with weapons (which is rarely that successful).
- Alternatively, you can start the auto-destruct and then escape on the Narcissus. However, only 3 crewmembers can fit inside the escape shuttle, and you can't leave any crew behind. You are also required to have caught Jones.

Thanks! This game is a gem!
Cheers! Glad you like it!
autodestruct gets bugged if you turn it on and kill the xeno/escape then use the restart button to play again. could you fix it please ? :)
Thanks for letting me know; I've just released a new version. Can I check how it was bugged for you? Was it that the autodestruct stay on for the next game?
yes the autodestruct button was bugged it would say that the autodestruct isnt cancellable, restarting the game fixed it.. will you also release offline versions of the game again? it appears that i cannot run it on the website for whatever reason
also i kinda feel like the alien AI is dumb.. it sometimes gets stuck in one place and never leaves it, allowing me to just get everyone armed up and kill it easily, it rarely gives chase which makes baiting it into the airlocks almost impossible
Thanks for the feedback. Currently, the alien will only attack a crewman if they're on their own, and will run away if there's more than one. I've never noticed it get stuck, but I'll see if I can recreate it.
ive seen the alien get stuck on the ladder that leads down to the shuttle/lifesupport section of the ship, if you go there with everyone the alien will retreat, if you wait there the alien will keep coming back until he dies/kills everyone
also androids are bugged, if there is a android in a room and you kill him he keep dying over and over, dropping tons of copies of their body and somehow killing the people in the room??
Just another question about this, as I'm no expert on the original: what was to stop the player tooling up and wandering around the ship in a crowd, hunting the alien?
well in the movie they keep splitting up and dying, so uh, dunno?, maybe if they are in a room with the alien with more than 4 people then the alien charges into them and kills 2-3 of them very quickly, so the player is forced to split up and avoid direct confrontation with the alien..
very good
Thanks
