The Ship of Doom

If you're like everyone else in the world and in the venn-diagram of "people who liked Ship of Doom and people who like 2D roguelikes" then this is definitely the game for you.
This is a remake of the classic text adventure of the same name, originally written by Charles Cecil and published by Artic in 1983. It has the same map and puzzles, but now it's almost like being there, if you were floating above a spaceship which had no roof.
You must escape the grasp of the alien ship by turning off their tractor beam and then escaping in your ship. But it won't be easy! (Anyone who has played the original can testify to this).
CONTROLS
- Arrow keys or WASD to move.
- Click on the verbs and nouns to enter a command, and then either click on the Enter button or press the right-hand mouse button to execute the command.
- You can also click on some items on the map itself to select them.

What an amazing idea. I'd love to see Adventures B, C, D etc done like this too... You got plans for that? Possibilities for text adventure conversions in this style are endless... Looks like playing the adventure directly on your old-skool squared paper.
Just finished the game. Took 25 mins or so, really nicely put together. Atmosphere is great.
Thanks, I'm really happy you enjoyed it. I've been thinking about what games to do next in the same style. Probably Espionage Island would make a good one next? Although it's also crossed my mind to convert other graphics adventures as well, like Where Time Stood Still, or even Enigma Force.
