Absolutely love this video. I've only just got a quest 3 and am just getting to grips with it. Really want to try this when I figure out how to do it as I owned a couple of speccys in the 80s/ early 90s. I loved my speccy and had hundreds of games. Would love to play fantasy world dizzy in 3d! Or Cybernoid 2 with the lovely 128k music in the background.
Thanks. I've got a few VR games which you can see on my Itch page. It should just be a case of going to the page on the browser in your headset and loading them up. There's quite a few old Speccy games that would be great in VR!
It's looking good. I like Level 2. I'm still trying to get to the end of it.
Are you supposed to play standing, sitting on a chair or on the floor? I get a different view with each one.
It might explain why that red ball still gets me. You can see it appear near the start of this video and go over the top where it keeps killing me from above. I play standing up so I am near the ceiling.
On level 2 I got killed and ended up restarting in space, where I fell and kept dying.
Thanks, it is quite challenging! I play it sat in a rotating chair; I have much less chance of getting motion sickness that way, and the camera is at just the right height. It's a bit too high in your video. Thanks for the feedback, I thought I'd fixed both of those problems, but I'll have another look at them.
It wasn't too difficult (or easy) once you understood what to shoot. That wasn't very clear at the start.
I found the hardest part was getting around the green 'pistons' without falling off the sides. It wasn't clear that they would kill you if you walked on them. I thought they would allow you to jump onto something that was high up.
Sometimes the balloons went under the floor and could still kill you but could not be shot.
When you go into the 'portal' it can obstruct your view of things that are firing at you. Unless my setting is making me too high.
Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback. I have a look at the "balls under the floor" bug. I assume you've not played the original 8-bit game? The pistons can be a pain (even when you know that they kill you), I think some side-view gameplay aspects don't translate well when in VR. But since you got to the end, I'd better add level 2 sooner rather than later.

Great looking arcade style game!
Is there an ending? I reached two towers with electricity sparking between them but no where else to go and it kept playing.
Thanks a lot!
Currently, it is just the first level. I should have put a message up at the end. Did I make the game too easy? :)

Level 2 would be good. Yes I have not played it before. I watched some YouTube clips of the game on a Spectrum when you mentioned it.
I've added level 2 now.
